Goodbye 2018 Hello 2019!

For Operation CR, 2018 will always be remembered as a year of beginning. First and foremost, 2018 is the year that Operation CR began. It is the year where our team got together to commit to a mission of fighting child hunger and giving to children in need all over the world. As a part of the Operation CR team, I expected our year of beginning to be quiet and calm as we tried to create ideas of how to bring our mission to life and make an impact in our world. While we planned in this direction, the results were surprising.
When we launched publicly November 1st, we launched with the idea of giving and giving back to our local community. Working locally allowed us to first build awareness of Operation CR and start creating a giving community of supporters that will one day join us in rescuing and providing for the needs of children worldwide. Secondly, the thousands of children in our local communities poor, without food, clothes, or toys could not be ignored. We could not ignore our own community and our own cities.
A passion to help our city and the supporters that we had this year led to over 8,000 canned/boxed foods, toys, and jackets/clothes to NYC and Long Island communities in our first year. We gave so much in a year where we were testing to see what would work and would not work for our mission. Because we started with our mindset of giving first coupled with such a strong supportive community- we were able to create impact in our cities and our communities.
Our plans for 2019 are to grow and expand the reach of Operation CR. While 2018 involved only local outreach, we want 2019 to further develop local outreach but also begin our global outreach. We want 2019 to be our the beginning of our fight of child hunger and we want to start feeding the children that are without food.
2019 will also be another year of firsts as well. It will be the first year Operation CR starts fundraising for its mission. In 2019 we want to continue to give with toys, food, and jackets/clothes. We never want to stop giving. However, we know that in order to effectively fight child hunger, children around the world will need funds which is why we will begin fundraising in order to provide to more than we did this year. With more donation centers and an even bigger community of supporters expected- we want to do more and keep growing.
We would like to thank all of our supporters so far for our beginning year being so successful! 2018 was a year of beginning, 2019 will be a year of growth, system, and expansion!
